Timber-concrete composite structural flooring system

An integrated solution is presented for the execution of building structures using timber-concrete composite (TCC) sections that make efficient use mechanical properties both materials. The system integrates flooring and shaped prefabricated beams composed a lower flange glued laminated timber (GLT) to one or more plywood veneer lumber (LVL) ribs linked an upper concrete slab poured in situ. parts may be T shape (only rib), π (two ribs), with multiple create wider pieces, thereby reducing installation operations. basis shear connection form holes through ribs, which are filled by situ-poured concrete. complemented arrangement reinforcement bars holes. Three test campaigns were undertaken. Shear tests 12 pieces. along wood-wood glue line (72 planes tested) wood -plywood (24 tested). Delamination 8 wood-plywood planes). results indicate high strength joint, ductile failure effect. Likewise, delamination show section integrity under demanding hygrothermal conditions. Preliminary sizing curves developed considering Gamma Method evaluate performance system. possibilities system, as pouring situ makes it possible continuous semi-rigid joints between elements. This gives rise slender structures, light stiffness plane against horizontal forces. • A novel structural presented. combines weight. highly effective perforated boards. Effective behaviour service thanks joints.
